Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been enjoying Season 1 content for several weeks, but no information regarding the game’s mid-season update has been released. New gameplay improvements, bug patches, and other fixes appeared on January 7th, but the developers have also shared a preview of the mid-season Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War patch. As content is repaired, the game is starting to come into focus and accepted by the overall Call of Duty community.

The mid-season update tends to be one of the biggest events each season. As new content appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War every week, the mid-season update offers a chance for massive changes. New maps, game modes, and weapons tend to appear during mid-season updates and now fans have a small taste of the exciting content yet to come.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 content is getting a massive upgrade as new content is being added for Multiplayer and Zombies. A new Fireteam map has been unveiled with the title “Sanatorium” where players will have to infiltrate a mental hospital and secure it from an unknown threat. A new 6v6 Multiplayer Game mode is being added titled “Dropkick” in which players will fight for control of nuclear codes across several multiplayer maps. While it is unknown what bug fixes are to be added, mid-season patches tend to bring in some balance fixes for contact added throughout the overall season experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombie fans will get a new and difficult challenge as a brand new “Cranked” mode has been added. Every zombie killed resets a timer, and players will have to keep running down the damned or risk dying to an unknown force. This game mode is sure to keep the adrenaline pumping as the zombies rush from every direction.

Raid will join the map list along with a new Dark Aether intel for Zombies players on the PlayStation systems. While this is a minor Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War benefit, it does echo the continued support of PlayStation over other platforms that were controversial during the launch of this title.

This is only a preview of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1 mid-season. Players can expect the update to arrive on January 14th with some more content still in the works currently being kept closely guarded by the development team.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Are you a competitive Call of Duty Gamer? Call of Duty League Updates Competitive Ruleset For 2021.

When it comes to competitive Call of Duty, The Call of Duty League sets all of the rules. As players and fans prepare for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s CDL season, the league is updating its rules for the coming events. While some updates are minor, others can have a big impact on the competitors and their training regimens for when they approach Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The Call of Duty League frequently updates its rules to try and meet the needs of both the fans and the players. In the latest rule update, several maps have been added or removed, and new weapons are applied to the competitive ban list.

One of the biggest updates Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War CDL rules have changed is the upcoming map rotation. Raid now appears on Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control, while Cartel, Crossroads, and Moscow have been moved from varying rotations. While fans might see this as a minor switch, many pro players have to practice on the removed maps for several months in preparation for the league. While the competitive community has no problem with Raid being added, they are more concerned that the removed maps might affect their overall performance.

As for weapons, all tactical rifles from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War have been added to the banned weapon list. This category ban can have a major effect on the overall balance that the developers are managing with in-game weapons. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Gentleman agreement already banned the weapon type, but now it is more than just a passive and respected rule.

The goal of these rule changes is to try and bring a higher level of competition into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War league season. The map switch is most likely to try and push the pros into last-minute practice, while the tactical rifle ban most likely is to solidify an already present opinion among the community.

Overall, the current CDL rules are very similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s with similar weapon bans at last-minute map updates. Although there are still several weeks before the official start of the CDL events, this does mean that pros will be in crunch time and fans may have a more interesting show to view in the upcoming broadcast season.
