How to set up the device if the WPS function won’t pair?
You can set the device up manually by connecting the device directly to a computer or laptop using a LAN cable. Once the device is connected open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc) and type in http://192.168.0.1 or http://dlinkap in the top bar. Then follow the steps of the setup wizard.

I can’t log in to set up the device?
Set your laptop/PC on a static IP address in the 192.168.0.x range, and retry logging into the device. If the problem persists reset the DAP-1360 and try again.

What is the difference between Repeater and Access Point?
Repeater mode will connect wirelessly and extend the network further, while access point mode requires a cable connection from the main router to the DAP-1360.

Multiple Operation Modes

The DAP-1360 offers seven modes of operation, namely Access Point, Wireless Client, Bridge, Bridge with AP, Repeater, WISP Client Router, and WISP Repeater (Range Extender) Mode.

These modes allow you to flexibly configure the device for use with different wireless applications. Access Point Mode allows the device to act as a central hub for wireless users.

Wireless Client Mode enables the DAP-1360 to connect to another access point. Bridge Mode can join two wired networks together, while Bridge with AP Mode allows the device to act as a wireless hub and a bridge at the same time.

Repeater Mode extends wireless coverage to cover all “dead” spots. WISP Client Router Mode allows wireless Internet service subscribers to share Internet connection with home/office Ethernet-enabled computers without the need for an extra router.

Finally, the device can act as a WISP Repeater (Range Extender) to let WISP subscribers share their Internet connection with wired and wireless computers without any extra routers.
