Inspiron 15 3000 series has long been one of the most popular budget laptops out there. And why wouldn’t they be – they are sold an extremely low price and offer wide customizability. CPU-wise the Inspiron 15 3580 is available either with the low-end Pentium N4000 and Pentium Silver N5000 or with the slightly more powerful Core i3-7020U. Honestly, we’ve reviewed plenty of budget-oriented notebooks and none of them is really exciting. But it is always a good idea to compare how the lower tier models fair across the years. One of the main reasons for that is that they often use dated hardware and chassis, borrowed from older series. If you have checked out our Lenovo V155 (15) review, you would know that it packs both brand new AMD components (or at least a year old ones), and a bezel-less display, which always looks better than the ones with thick bezels… like the V130

a year and a half, and one crypto-mining boom later, the RX 580 has managed to deliver on the ‘fine wine’ promise that AMD attaches to all of its silicon. It’s now the graphics card that we would recommend as the best GPU to drop into your gaming rig. It’s an impressively powerful, well-priced graphics card, with a comparatively huge pool of video memory and an aptitude for dealing with modern graphics APIs. And at just $190 (£197) it has very little competition in the market, with Nvidia’s GTX 1060 only giving it pause in a few DX11 titles and still being more expensive on the whole. Even the new GTX 1660 Ti struggles against its genuine value proposition.

The Polaris 10 architecture seems very sound and proves it can deliver big-time whilst remaining inline power consumption wise, we do think it is merely a small iteration over GCN Generation 3, the die-shrink with 14nm FinFET is the biggest benefit in terms of relative performance and wattage.

What I like about the M2140 is that despite being an inkjet printer, the printouts don’t feel wet and heavy immediately after printing. The pigment ink also helps to make them smudge-proof and fairly water-resistant. To sum up, the Epson M2140’s biggest draw is that it prints text like a laser printer but at a fraction of the cost thanks to the affordable ink. It also supports auto duplex printing to help you save more when printing multi-page documents.

Office 2019 is an underwhelming version of the Office suite, but that’s not a failure on Microsoft’s part; the company has created it that way on purpose. Microsoft doesn’t feel it can offend the shrinking user base for the perpetual version of Office by simply killing it off. So while the company continues to lavish new features on Office 365, it left most of them out of Office 2019, which Microsoft hopes will be so unappealing that few people will buy it. Odds are you’ll be one of the many who eschew it in favor of an Office 365 subscription.

Luckily, that is no issue thanks to the details in its design, which really make up for it as both the shroud and angled dividing wall within the chassis complement the enclosure’s overall look. The price-to-performance value of the Ryzen 5 3600 is crazy to see, especially when it stacks up against CPUs more than twice its price in gaming. All of the new Ryzen 3000-series CPUs we’ve tested have offered similar levels of performance in gaming, and the Ryzen 5 3600 is the cheapest one yet.

So, whether you want to build a computer from scratch or have an AM4 motherboard waiting for an upgrade, the Ryzen 5 3600 is a powerful option. The Ryzen 5 3600X does eke out a bit of extra performance for a small premium, but going with the 3600 will offer extra room in your budget if you need to upgrade a different part of your gaming rigs, like your gaming monitor or graphics processor.

a year and a half, and one crypto-mining boom later, the RX 580 has managed to deliver on the ‘fine wine’ promise that AMD attaches to all of its silicon.

It’s great for 1080P owners and doesn’t shy away from 2560×1440 either. A nice plus is the relatively lower power consumption.

Odds are you’ll be one of the many who eschew it in favor of an Office 365 subscription.

the Genome delivers with solid, but somewhat simple functionality. Luckily, that is no issue thanks to the details in its design, which really make up for it as both the shroud and angled dividing wall within the chassis complement the enclosure’s overall look. The result is a good-looking, functional, and adequately priced chassis with a potent cooling solution build right in – a combination many have tried but have never been able to really pull off in the same harmonious and organic fashion as Deepcool has with the Gamer Storm Genome.

MSI is back, this round with the GeForce GTX 1650 Gaming X edition of the GeForce GTX 1650. Designed to be a budget-friendly product MSI still did mount a pretty impressive cooler, a Twinfrozr revision 7 one with dual-fans. For a bit more fun, MSI also added a 6-pin power connector, perhaps that’s good news for tweaking. Oh and it’s overclocked right out of the box for you as well.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor

Overall, there wasn’t a lot that needed to be changed about the XPS 13 design, except for that one particular elephant in the room that Dell finally fix.

It is even offered with the Core i5-8265U and the Core i7-8565U.

The Epson EH-TW610, overall, is a much better projector. While the lamp life is somewhat questionable, the additional brightness and image quality make it worthwhile. The projection distant is also a noticeable improvement on the TW610, but may also throw off your room design if you’re upgrading from the EB-U04 projector and have a permanent fitting in place.

At first glance, the Acer Swift 3 is underwhelming. It’s not great looking, its build quality is good but not great, and its price seems a little high. But then when you consider the discrete GPU, look at its strong performance, and then consider its very good battery life – suddenly, the Swift 3 becomes a more compelling choice.

Lenovo V130 15.6-inch Laptop

Honestly, we’ve reviewed plenty of budget-oriented notebooks and none of them is really exciting. But it is always a good idea to compare how the lower tier models fair across the years. One of the main reasons for that is that they often use dated hardware and chassis, borrowed from older series. If you have checked out our Lenovo V155 (15) review, you would know that it packs both brand new AMD components (or at least a year old ones), and a bezel-less display, which always looks better than the ones with thick bezels… like the V130
