CAT6 UTP 15 Meter Patch Cord Network Cable contain 4 pairs of copper wire and unlike CAT5E, utilize all four pairs. A CAT6 supports Gigabit (1000Mbps) Ethernet and communications at more than twice the speed of CAT5E. The popular standard for Gigabit Ethernet cabling. By allowing a much higher frequency of the signal, the bandwidth supported is much larger, allowing more network traffic than ever. Perfect for transferring large files across networks or for high user traffic LAN use.
Category 6 cable (Cat 6) is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backwards compatible with the Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards.
CAT6 Speed:
Cat 6 must meet more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Cat 5 and Cat 5e. The cable standard specifies performance of up to 250 MHz, compared to 100 MHz for Cat 5 and Cat 5e.
Whereas Category 6 cable has a reduced maximum length of 55 metres (180 ft) when used for 10GBASE-T, Category 6A cable is characterized to 500 MHz and has improved alien crosstalk characteristics, allowing 10GBASE-T to be run for the same 100-metre (330 ft) maximum distance as previous Ethernet variants.
CAT6 cabling provides many advantages and benefits over CAT5E cabling infrastructure. When CAT6 was first introduced it was approximately 50% more expensive than CAT5E, which made it cost-prohibitive for many installations. However, CAT6 costs have reduced substantially over a number of years to the point where costs are almost on par. CAT6 provides greater bandwidth over CAT5E and allows for higher data transfer rates. Therefore, CAT6 has now become the minimum standard for new cabling installations. As well as being able to easily support 1 Gbps network speeds, CAT6 can also support higher data rates of 10Gbps. However, 10Gbps is only supported over shorter distances of 37-55 metres.

All of my items came in brand new looking condition, but did take a little longer than I thought.

Purchased online
Purchased online, Price was well below cost of components online. Free Courier delivery. Packaging excellent ( double boxed ). PC was clean, all documentation & power cable included. Specs exactly as advertised. Very noticeable improvement from my 16gb 2.4khz laptop.
Side note for buyers ( I was already aware of this ) - this CPU has on-board graphics, so it will use some of the system RAM for the graphics. Default on mine is around 8Gb for the graphics, leaving me around 23Gb RAM for the CPU. Adding a graphics card would free up that ram for CPU use. Overall, very impressed with the PC and would order the same brand again from Matrix without hesitation.

Great little motherboard and came with a back plate
Great little motherboard and came with a back plate. Booted up first try with my core i5 CPU and 6 GB DDR3 RAM and 2 SATA drives. Really great budget option for legacy hardware. Well done Arktek!

Great Customer Service!
Would like to take my hat off to matrix for their outstanding customer service. After ordering an incorrectly listed set of ram sticks, they not only contacted me promptly to offer a refund but also offered to replace said ram sticks with these for the same price I initially paid (which was significantly lower). This is a testament to how matrix cares about their client experience. Thanks Matrix!
